Privacy Policy
Last updated October 12, 2026
Project Future is in a small test. This policy is a working version and will be reviewed by a lawyer before the app opens to the public. Questions: hello@projectfutureai.com.
What we keep
- Your account: your email address and password (stored scrambled; we cannot read it).
- Your profile: first name, age, school or work, gender, your intro, interests and photos.
- What only the wingman sees: who you want to meet, the ages, what you are after, your type, your dealbreakers, and the wingman's own notes and private read of what you are looking for.
- Your conversations with the wingman, your plans and your reminders.
- Introductions and chats: who you were introduced to, your answers, and the messages in your chats.
- Reports and blocks you make, and reports made about you.
- Your phone's notification address, if you allow notifications, so we can tell you about introductions, answers and messages.
- Simple usage counts, such as when the app is opened or a date is confirmed, to understand how the test is going.
Who sees what
Someone you are introduced to sees your first name, age, school or work, intro, interests and photos, and a short line from the wingman about why you two might get along. They never see what only the wingman sees, your conversations with the wingman, or anything you said privately.
Before an introduction is sent, a person on our team reads the wingman's reason for it, which can mention private preferences, to check the match is safe and sensible. Our team also reads reports.
Services that help run the app
- Anthropic (Claude) runs the AI wingman and the matchmaker. What you say to the wingman, and the profiles involved in a match, are sent to it to write replies and choose introductions. When you ask about something current, the wingman may search the web; only the search words go to the web.
- Supabase stores the data above and your photos, privately.
- Resend sends our emails, such as sign-up codes.
- Expo and Apple deliver notifications. Notifications show a first name at most, never what someone wrote.
- Your iPhone turns your voice into text when you use the microphone, and reads replies aloud; Apple may process speech on its servers to do this.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your choices
- Edit your intro, photos and what you are looking for on the Profile tab.
- "Delete all memory" in Settings removes your conversations with the wingman and its notes about you.
- "Delete my account" in Settings removes your account, profile, photos and conversations. A report you made about someone else is kept, no longer tied to you, to keep members safe.
- Turn notifications, check-ins and spoken replies on or off in Settings.
Age
The app is for people 18 and over. If we learn someone is under 18, their account is closed and what they told the wingman and their photos are removed.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app. Write to hello@projectfutureai.com with any question or request.
